THE
PURPOSE
Digisteam is a concept for a TV based application for pay per view titles. The brief was a service that users could buy titles and sort by user recommendations.
REALTIME
OBSERVATIONS
The team ran multiple playtest sessions focused on TV audiences and non-TV natives to identify pain points and how creating interfaces familiar to Netflix and other existing streaming services such as Google Play could benefit the design.
INTERFACING
As the team was unfamiliar with TV interface systems, extensive research into current TV applications was vital in helping to create prototype designs and user flows.

PROTOTYPE
Playtests were run using paper prototypes with interactive elements such as detachable pieces of paper that could be used to simulate interface actions.
MARKET RESEARCH
We ran multiple playtests not only with our own prototype, but with users attempting tasks in familiar industry applications such as Netflix and Google Play. This allowed us to gather more feedback through observing user patterns on established platforms.
